Study Objectives:
To periodically track changes in usage of Byetta® (exenatide) by surveying a set of endocrinologists and primary care physicians regarding their current and future practices in treatment of type II diabetes mellitus
§ Determine the current market share held by Byetta® and other medications for Type II diabetes patients.
§ Evaluate Byetta® based on physician and patient opinions.
§ Anticipate the future use and changes from current use of Byetta®.
§ Reveal side effects and cost issues Byetta® patients experience.
§ Determine impact, if any, of Januvia™ (sitagliptin) on Byetta® prescribing.

§ Board-certified or eligible endocrinologist or primary care physician (PCP) § In practice between 2 and 30 years § Spends at least 75% of professional time in clinical practice § Currently prescribes both Byetta® and Januvia™ (any volume) |
